Winter Escape · For Nordic remote workers

Leave the dark winter behind.

Swap cold mornings and short Nordic days for a winter working from Santa Cruz de Tenerife. At Blue Paradise, you have ocean-view coworking, your own room and a small community to spend time with after work.

  • Close to your home time zone

In winter, Tenerife is on the same time as Iceland, one hour behind Denmark, Norway and Sweden, and two hours behind Finland. Stay in touch with your team at home.

  • A milder, brighter winter

Take a break from the Nordic cold and short days. Eat lunch outside, spend time in the garden and make plans beyond your desk when work is done.

  • Your own private bathroom

Every room has a private bathroom, a desk and a monitor. You have your own space whenever you need it.

  • Make Tenerife your winter base

Winter stays start at one month, with both coworking spaces included. Bring your work and make the house your base.

More daylight beyond your desk

When you start work in the dark and finish after sunset, it can feel as though winter happens entirely indoors. If you work remotely from Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark or Finland, a month further south can change that daily rhythm.

In Santa Cruz, winter is milder and the days are longer. Have lunch outside, take a break in the garden and make room for a walk by the sea after work.

Keep your meetings and deadlines, with a desk ready at Blue Paradise. When you close your laptop, there are housemates to have dinner with and a city to explore on foot.

A workspace for a full working day

The house is set up for people who work online every day, with the equipment and space to stay focused.

  • Two coworking spaces are included in your stay, with height-adjustable desks, large monitors, ergonomic chairs, fast internet and ocean views.
  • Every room also has a desk and a monitor with a fibre connection, so you can close the door when you need to concentrate.
  • Every room has a private bathroom, and there are quieter corners for calls and meetings.

The pool and garden

The pool, garden and outdoor workout area look out over the city and harbour. This is where many people end their day.

The house and the people

Seven rooms, shared dinners when people are home and housemates from across Europe. A small community with room to get to know each other.

Santa Cruz city centre is within walking distance, the Anaga mountains are a short drive away and Las Teresitas beach is nearby.

Questions about your winter stay

What is the time difference from the Nordic countries?
In winter, Tenerife is on UTC+0: the same time as Iceland, one hour behind Denmark, Norway and Sweden, and two hours behind Finland. Tenerife moves to UTC+1 from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. The difference from Iceland is then one hour; the other differences stay the same.
How long do I need to stay?
The minimum winter stay, from November to March, is one month. In April, May and October it is two weeks, and from June to September you can stay for one week.
Do I need a car?
Not for everyday life. Santa Cruz city centre is within walking distance and there is a good bus network. A car is useful if you want to explore Anaga, the beaches and mountain villages at your own pace.
Can I bring my partner?
Yes. Six of the seven rooms have a double bed, and the price list shows rates for both one and two people in a room.
Is the internet good enough for meetings and calls?
The house is set up for remote work, with fibre internet, monitors at the desks, proper workstations and quieter corners when you need privacy for a meeting.
What should I check before a longer stay?
Entry and residence requirements depend on your nationality and the length of your stay. Check the current guidance from the Spanish authorities and your employer’s remote-work policy before booking.
