Cookies Policy

This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones may be used on this website, and how you can manage them.

Data controller

The data controller is Selene Astrid Grande Fraile, operator of Blue Paradise, Spanish tax identification number (NIF): 78859537N. Address: C. Rubens Marichal López, 51, 38004 Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain. For privacy enquiries or to exercise your data protection rights, contact info@blueparadisecoliving.com or +34 618 557 334.

Events and Luma

The Events page embeds an event list supplied by Luma. Loading it connects your browser to Luma, which may receive your IP address and browser information and use its own cookies. Event registration takes place on Luma, which shares registration information with the event host. Our website’s statistics and session replay choices do not control Luma’s separate service. See Luma’s privacy policy for its data handling and controls.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files that a website can store on your device when you visit it. Similar technologies, such as localStorage, can also remember information in your browser. These tools can support basic website functions, remember preferences, measure site performance, or enable third-party services.

Technologies we use

We remember your theme, language and privacy choices in your browser. Google Analytics and Vercel load only when you enable statistics. Microsoft Clarity loads only when you enable heatmaps and session replay. Mangobeds provides booking services on the homepage and booking page. Essential booking functionality does not depend on these optional choices.

Types of cookies and similar technologies

The website may use the following categories where needed. Strictly necessary storage supports core website operation, security, routing, theme preference, and remembering the cookie notice choice. Optional statistics measure visits and booking interactions. Optional heatmaps and session replay show how visitors use individual pages. Third-party booking technologies may be used by the booking provider to show availability, complete reservations, prevent fraud, or remember booking-session information.

Optional analytics

Our legal basis for optional analytics is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can choose two optional purposes independently in Cookie settings: audience and booking statistics (Google Analytics and Vercel), and heatmaps and session replay (Microsoft Clarity). Both are off until you accept them. Accept all enables both; Reject all disables both; Save preferences applies only your selected purposes. Necessary storage and essential booking functions remain available. Our Google and Clarity integrations deny advertising storage and advertising personalisation.

Booking analytics

If you enable audience and booking statistics, our embedded booking form sends checkout steps and booking creation events to Google Analytics. These can include the booking reference, amount, currency, payment provider, number of nights and guests, and website language. This integration does not send guest names, email addresses, phone numbers or payment card details. A booking creation event does not confirm payment. You can withdraw analytics consent through Cookie settings without affecting your ability to book.

Microsoft Clarity cookies

Clarity loads only after you enable heatmaps and session replay. Its first-party cookies include _clck, which recognises a browser on this website, and _clsk, which connects page views within a session. Microsoft documents additional cookies used by its services; their use depends on consent and browser settings. We deny advertising storage in our Clarity integration.

  • _clck: up to 1 year. _clsk: up to 1 day. These first-party cookies are set by Microsoft Clarity on this website after heatmaps and session replay acceptance. Browsers may shorten their lifetime. Withdrawing consent removes the accessible first-party cookies.

Google Analytics cookies and retention

After you enable audience and booking statistics, Google Analytics sets _ga to distinguish browsers and _ga_1SP89SLNW1 to maintain session state. These are first-party cookies on our website, used by Google to provide analytics. We configure a maximum lifetime of 180 days without extending it on each visit; browsers may shorten it. Withdrawal removes the accessible cookies. Advertising storage, Google signals and advertising personalisation signals are disabled in our website integration.

  • Our GA4 property uses a 14-month retention setting for user-level and event-level data. Google applies deletion according to its retention schedule. This setting does not impose the same limit on standard aggregated reports. The browser-cookie lifetime and the analytics-data retention period are different.

Vercel Web Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to measure visits and clicks. It loads only when you enable audience and booking statistics in Cookie settings. It does not use analytics cookies. Vercel receives information such as the page, referring page, browser, device and approximate location. You can withdraw this permission at any time in Cookie settings.

Storage for your choices

We store your separate statistics and session replay choices, their date and the notice version in localStorage on this website for 180 days. We ask for renewed consent after expiry or a material change to analytics. An earlier refusal remains respected. This storage is necessary to remember your choice and is not used to track you. Your selected theme is stored separately in localStorage until you change it or clear browser storage. A language-preference cookie (NEXT_LOCALE), when set after a language choice, lasts for the browser session.

International transfers

Vercel hosts this website. With your consent, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Vercel also receive analytics data. These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. The provider information linked below explains their transfer arrangements and safeguards. You can request information about the safeguards applicable to your data, including how to obtain a copy, at info@blueparadisecoliving.com.

  • Google's published transfer information describes mechanisms including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses where applicable. Microsoft's Clarity information describes EU customers contracting with Microsoft Ireland and standard contractual clauses for transfers to Microsoft Corporation in the US. Vercel's published processing addendum includes standard contractual clauses for covered transfers.
  • Mangobeds describes processing outside the EEA, including the US, using adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses where applicable.

Consent and your data rights

Providing analytics data is optional and is not a condition for browsing or booking. Reading our policies, continuing to browse or accepting booking terms does not grant analytics consent. You can withdraw each optional purpose in Cookie settings; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Our Privacy Policy explains your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, how to exercise them, and how to complain to a supervisory authority.

Privacy Policy and your rights

Who uses these technologies

Blue Paradise stores necessary preferences. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set the analytics cookies listed above on our domain and receive the associated data. Cookies stored on our domain can therefore be used by third-party providers; they are not automatically necessary cookies. Vercel measures visits without analytics cookies. Mangobeds provides booking services; our cookie choices do not automatically transfer to an external Mangobeds booking page, where its notices and controls apply.

Your cookie choices

Open Cookie settings in the footer to change or withdraw either optional purpose at any time. Saving a withdrawal stops future collection by the affected tools, removes their accessible cookies and reloads the page if needed. Tools you keep enabled can continue after reload. Closing settings without saving does not change your consent. Browsing and booking remain available. New choices last 180 days, without automatic renewal on each visit; after expiry a new choice is needed. We also ask again after material changes to purposes or providers. You can delete cookies and other storage in your browser.

Warning about deleting cookies

If you delete cookies or browser storage, previously saved choices may be lost. You may see the cookie notice again, your theme preference may reset, and booking-provider sessions may need to be restarted.

Updates

Blue Paradise may update this Cookies Policy when website technology, booking providers, analytics tools, or legal requirements change.
